Dutch Wonderland Tickets and Spring Fundraiser

Dutch Wonderland tickets will be on sale soon.  I am not sure of the price for this year (last year it was $20 per ticket)- I wanted to remind everyone though- that this is in CASH ONLY.  I cannot take ANY personal checks or credit cards.

~~~~~
Our Spring Fundraiser will be coming very soon- we are looking forward to selling sandwiches and subs from R&K Subs again this year.  Papers will be coming home within the next few weeks about the sub sales!  The profits from this sale will go to help pay for our 4 year olds graduation and also supplies for our end of the year picnic.
(Last year, we also used part of the money to pay for the Railroad Trip- this year, because our end of the year trip is cheaper- I intend to use more of the money on graduation and our end of the year picnic at Rexroth park).
Last Chance!
If you know anyone interested in applying for the Director/ Lead Teacher position- this is the last chance to do so.  We are beginning interviews this week!  Send the resumes to Tim Smith at EYARC!
No preschool tomorrow and a CHALLENGE from Mrs. Copulos
Preschool has been canceled for tomorrow, Thursday, January 27th.  I will see the 3 year olds next Tuesday.
Here is a little challenge for all of you while you are at home!
This week, we were supposed to be working on the letter T and Turtles for the 3 year olds and morning 4 year olds class.  Here is your challenge from Mrs. Copulos:
Make something that has a T or a turtle- you can write a word with a T, practice your Ts, paint a T, take your picture with a T or a turtle, or draw something that starts with a T.  Make sure your name is on whatever you bring (and make sure it is something that can be hung on the wall- no sculptures please :) ).  Bring it in by next Thursday for a surprise!
No Preschool
There will be no AM or PM preschool today.  I will update you about our 3 year old class when I have more information about tomorrow!
Thanks!
Kindergarten Registration
Some of you asked about an update about Kindergarten Registration.  I talked to Mrs. Shields at Canadochaly Elem and this is the information she gave me to pass to you:
Pre-Registration begins in February.  You have two choices:  you can either call Mrs. Shields and give her your name/ address for a pre-registration form to be mailed to you, or you can fill out one of the pre-registration forms I have and return it to me.  I will then return all the forms I have to Mrs. Shields.  She will mail you out a packet of paperwork to fill out and return.  They will begin assigning registration appointments in April (I believe the appointments are in May).
At registration, your child WILL be tested on what they know.  Please don't be nervous about this- the kids in our preschool always do very well at these tests.  This test DOES NOT decide if they are going into kindergarten. Your child will be going to kindergarten no matter how well they do.  The testing is only for the K teachers and are a way for them to get to know your children.
What are some of the things they will test on?
Alphabet recognition and sounds
Number recognition
How high they can count
Can they write their first/ last name
Can they name body parts (this sometimes trips kids up because they use words like jaw, side, hip, etc)
Can they DRAW shapes (square, circle, diamond, rectangle, triangle, heart, oval etc)
When you have been assigned a registration appointment, please let me know.  I will prepare a packet for the k teachers, letting them know about what we have been doing in preschool and testing I have done (in case they have stage fright the day of the test).
Let me know if there is anything I can do to make this process easier!
